Origami was traditionally a technique used with paper but it has now been adopted into the quilting and fiber art world. Adding a third dimension to fabric creations can make them stand out from the rest. In this class students will make samples of 4 different origami shapes and then spend the rest of the class time incorporating 1 or more of these shapes into their own unique project; possibly a tote bag, a table runner, a wall hanging, a set of place mats, or even decorations to enhance children’s or adult garments.
This class will be held at the Senior Citizen Center, 489 East 200 South.
