Zion Winter Meadow by Carol Johnson #31

THURSDAY MORNING CLASS:

Create a scene of a Meadow in Zion National Park in the Winter using fused rough edge applique, that is embellished as it is quilted.

The embellishment done in the quilting includes grass and bushes in the foreground, barren trees in the middle and small pine trees on the mountains.
I will include a pattern for the quilting and give a demonstration.

Skill Level: Intermediate because of the machine embellishment but the fusing is beginning level.
Class Time: 8:30AM - 11:30AM.
Class Cost: $20.00.
Pattern/Kit Fee: $25 (paid to instructor) for a kit that includes fabric, fusible interfacing and border fabric, pattern and instructions for the fusing and quilting.

Fabric Requirements & Supplies:

No sewing machine required in class unless you want to start applying the borders or start the quilting

Quilting Thread: Medium blue for sky, light tan for mountains and trees, dark brown for mountains, dark green for trees on mountains and foreground grass, light lime green for bushes and light cream for trees.

Fabric and paper scissors, Iron (one may already be in classroom)
