Description - Modern Millie Quilt Jenny & Helen (designers of the quick curved ruler) have done it again. Here is another really cute, quick and fun quilt to put together using the Quick Curved Ruler. Very simple and modern looking that has that curvy flair and will be attractive in any room. Great way to concur your fear of sewing curves. Its amazing how fast this quilt sews together.
Needed Items - Modern Millie Quilt supply List: Materials ( these colors are the same as the book, you can choose own colors if desired) Pattern( found in the Contemporary Curved quilts book)
3 1/2 yds Taupe Print Fabric
8 assorted Black and White Fat Quarters
1/3 yd golden yellow fabric
½ yd binding fabric
5 yds backing fabric
Twin-size Batting
Quick Curve ruler
Threads to match
Rotary cutter
Mat
BSK
#37 foot or #57 for piecing
Homework: Read through all instructions using the quick curved ruler before making any cuts. This will save fabric and any mistakes.
Cutting instructions:
From taupe print fabric cut
(6) 10-1/2” WOF strips
From those strips cut (24) 10-1/2” squares
(8) 7”x WOF strips. From those strips, cut (48) 7” squares. Cut those 7” squares in half diagonally for a total of 96 half-square triangles.
From each assorted black and white fat quarter, cut: (6) 6”x10” pieces
From golden yellow fabric, cut: (5) 2”xWOF strips. From those strips, cut: (96) 2”squares
From binding Fabric, cut: (8) 2-1/2” binding strips
