Photo To Quilt by Nancy Enneking #11

Seats Left

I will show you the easiest way to take a photo and turn it into a wall quilt using two different options depending on what your quilt subject is.  Once you know the basics, you become the artist to recreate your photo into a beautiful memory quilt and/or gift. As time allows, I will show you how to thread paint your quilt to add that last little touch.  There is no sewing involved except to quilt.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, class is limited to 14 seats, no exceptions.

Fabric Requirements:

Fabric pieces that correspond with the colors in your photo (scraps are great for this - just bag up a bunch), sharp scissors, fine point Sharpie, foam core board, pins, light box (if you have one), if you have a small ironing board and iron that can set close to you..if not irons will be available, your choice of fusible webbing (i usually use Wonder Under) and your photo.

Pre-Class Preparation:

I will need you to send me at least two choices of photo that you would like to do so I can see if it will work for this class (email or text).  It must either be your own photo, or one that you have written permission to use.  If you don't have anything, I have hundreds to choose from.  Even if you want to do a self portrait, we can do it!  Keep in mind, a wall quilt is a memory in fabric, so look for something that elicits a memory or good emotion when you see it.  Photos with shadows also work the best.
