Join me and I will show you how. We will have such a blast making beautiful artistic fabric together (party included at no extra charge.)

Needed Items - WEAR OLD CLOTHES AND SHOES !!!!

PFD* (Prepared for Dyeing) fabric. Up to 3 yards * PFD explained below

    Rubber or latex-type gloves

Quart-size or larger zipper plastic bags

A couple of plastic grocery bags might be needed for carrying fabric after class. You have to wait at least 4 hrs. after some techniques to rinse.

*PFD Prepared for dying: no sizing, finishing, etc.

PFD fabric can be purchased on-line (just search for the same). If purchased, no other prep is necessary.

*Or if you want to use your own, these are the requirements:

Natural fiber material: cotton, linen. bamboo, hemp, rayon (not natural. but made with natural materials).

Wash fabric in HOT water with Synthropol, if available, or other mild detergent like Dreft, to remove any sizing or other chemical treatments. Not quite as good as PFD, to my thought, but absolutely dyeable.

Description -  The Hunter’s Star pattern is beautiful and a quilt that many quilters would like to make someday. We will use Deb Tucker’s “Rapid Fire” ruler and techniques to make a wall quilt. This is a time saving, accurate, step-by-step way to make the blocks. It’s an easier, more precise technique that works for beginners as well as more experienced quilters. The construction tool has instructions for both right and left-handed trimmers.

You will learn important cutting and pressing tips for making the diamonds perfect and keeping the angles correct. All seams will nest together for easy alignment. When the individual block units are finished, they are trimmed down to the perfect size. You will be so pleased with the results.

We will make a basic two-color version of the quilt. After you understand the concept, I will demonstrate how to prepare additional blocks for 3 and 4 color varieties. You will go home with ideas for more block arrangements, color schemes and sizes than you thought imaginable. You won’t want to make just one.
